~An opening speech addressed by the Grand Master at the Masters’ “Meditating Session of the Three Treasures” on February 21, 2007.
“The Core Belief of the Three Treasures” has all along been the most precious cultivating way at An-Dong Tao Society. The “Meditating Session of the Three Treasures”, set up by the Prime Temple of our Tao Societies, is a training session which is a combination of psychology and science, as well as a session which appeals directly to one's mind in helping people experience and study one's true nature.
Basically, “The Core Belief of the Three Treasures” is one of the abilities to reveal one’s pure nature without using words. It is also the training to solve human beings’ psychological dilemma and the question of life and death.
The Teacher has passed on Tao to us as a direction. All of us must be the hands-on Tao followers to practice Tao because no one has the power to inspire others and no one is able to practice Tao for others.
The three poisons—greed, anger, and foolishness—are stored in our mind; no one put them in our mind and no one can take them away. We must cleanse our mind ourselves.
The exercise on the Three Treasures is to learn to concentrate in our daily life. Whatever you are listening, just concentrate on listening; whatever you are doing, just concentrate on doing what you need to do.
When we need to deliberate, we have to be calm and have a clear mind. We are not to be distracted, and we know what we are doing. It is the ability of keeping a clear mind.
The Teacher has passed on this subtle method to us. “To return to one's pure nature is a means to become a Buddha.” This clear and sincere mind of cultivating Tao will never be faltered by any causes. The mind is hidden in one's deepest place. “Not only will this clear and sincere mind be able to unite with the universe, but it can also be kept invisible.”
This clear and sincere mind is the heavenly heart, divine heart and pure heart. We should propagate Tao and emerge from reincarnation with this heart. Do not be off the track again. Wish all of you cultivate and learn Tao sincerely. The more important part is to examine and learn the Teacher's core belief heartily. Moreover, it is the mission of the disciples of the Teacher and Buddha Maitreya to enhance and glorify the core belief.
We are busy all day for Tao matters, Tao followers, jobs and livelihood, but we fail to pause to return to our pure nature for self-examination. We are here to have some time to have a smooth mind and to be with your pure nature. During the session, your wisdom will be enlightened to concentrate on even better performances in the future. Furthermore, this session helps to improve one's inner nature and to strive for higher Tao achievements.
Grand Master will not conduct this session personally due to his health. however, under the instructions of head office, all of you attend this session with confidence, determination, patience and perseverance. As long as you learn how to practice The Three Treasures, you are able to be with your pure nature. Then you have a peaceful mind and are able to know yourselves better. As a result, your attitude toward the challenges from Tao affairs and interpersonal relationship will be more rational. Besides, new potential will be discovered which will enhance self growth.
