Uniting Together to Have a Harmonious and God Blessed Buddha Mitreya Homeland

~A speech addressed by the Senior Grand Master at the celebration of the Chinese New Year of Wu-Zih(戊子), 2008.

All Tao transmitting Masters, Temple hosts, Temple staff, and Tao believers, happy new year!
On the beginning and refreshing Chinese New Year’s day, I am glad to see Tao believers coming back to Hong-Zong from various places to celebrate Chinese New Year with high spirits and joyful hearts.
The first day of the first month of the lunar calendar is the birthday of Buddha Mitreya, and every Chinese New Year starts with the joyful smile of Buddha Mitreya. With the sound of gongs and drums and fireworks, everybody puts on new clothes and greets one another with joyful expressions. The whole world is full of kindness and warmth.
The Learning section of the Analects of Confucius says, “The adaptation of courtesy is precious for its rapport. This is the beauty of principles of ancient kings, and it is followed no matter affairs are big or small.” Ancient saints and kings realized heavenly principles and people’s wishes; so they adopted “courtesy” to rule kingdoms and to woo people to maintain a peaceful country. All administration affairs must follow the courtesy way, and then the country could stay in harmony. The governing way of previous kings is to regulate etiquette and be in harmony. Etiquette was regulated by ancient kings, though it might change with dynasties, and it is the most important with harmony. Our Temples should also value harmony, and then we can create a united and peaceful Mitreya homeland.
Peace is like bathing in warm breeze. Peace is to love everything. Peace contributes to riches and wealth. Peace earns God’s help. Peace removes distress. Peace sweeps away uncertainty.
On 6th December last year, we finished purchasing the land of “The Hill of An-Dong Mitreya ”. This year is the beginning for the An-Dong Group to actively engage in development and construction, and everyone’s participation is needed. This is the divine work of passing down the holy mandate. This is the great chance for every one of us to work together with heaven. In the process of undertaking the whole construction work, we only look forward to consolidated large teamwork and trivial individual matters are not to be minded. That way, we can stay in one and achieve the vigor of the Hill of An-Dong Mitreya, and to extend to the whole world the spirit of An-Dong Group which consists of piety, fraternal love and kindness. With the passing of the previous year, here comes a brand new year which is the time for us to review past events and plan for the future. Everybody gives a hand to Tao personnel, offering them the nutrition of love and careful up bringing, making them grow strong, blossom and bear fruits on Tao.
I hope that everyone will have a great perspective, great direction, and great wishes and get rid of various trivial thoughts and imagination, so as to push forward Tao personnel on the aspect of three alms and the aspect of encouraging one another to stay in harmony. Tao temples domestic as well as overseas will work hard altogether as one so that the goal of the Hill of An-Dong Mitreya will definitely be accomplished soon.
Finally I wish you all good health and a happy Chinese New Year. Lets unite together in achieving the Hill of An-Dong Mitreya.
